Is it bad that I was secretly hoping for a rainy day? Well not entirely rainy but after a little rain everything tends to look a bit magical. Lets not forget those clouds that offer an amazing soft box for outdoor portraits.
Alison and I discussed options for a rainy day for a few weeks now and it seemed like that’s where we were headed. On the morning of the wedding, the rain came and we were forced into making a final decision. I just had this gut feeling, I didn’t want to go with the backup plan. Alison and Jamie trusted me and we went with our original plans. On route to our location I felt a big weight on my shoulders. Looking out the front windshield and seeing large raindrops didn’t help. As we were approaching our first location, things seemed to slow down. Armed with umbrellas and paper bags we headed out to our first location. The rain stopped……….we got all our shots in. The rain went away long enough until we took the last picture at our first location. The same scenario repeated itself for the next location (rain while driving, dry for pictures).
This little story paved the way for the rest of the wedding. I couldn’t take the smile off my face and neither did Alison & Jamie.

I get surprised once in a while, but the next two pics caught me off guard. They came out way better then I had ever envisioned
